7 Myths  About  Church Members :

The front door  of every church  should be wide whiles the back door shouldn't be.

1. Those who belongs to us cannot go away:

Some pastors also say some people will never leave the church if they really belongs to them. They will leave if they don't belong to us.

There are 2 People who stays in the church:

Those who come to Help your vision

Those who come for Training


2. The people who are leaving  the church are trouble makers:

It is totally wrong to say that.
It not all those who leave are not trouble makers. It is the personality of the pastor that made them leave.  One way or the other,  they needed your attention,  care and love but you never show up.

3. All the people  who left or will leave are cursed :

This is also something pastors shouldn't say. Because you are not God. John lost two members to Jesus Christ and it doesn't mean John was bad or the people were bad. Members also should be careful how they leave.

4.  If you go God will replace you with another.

This myth also has led a lot of pastors loosing bunch of members. Instead of looking at the matter at hand  and resolving it,  they rather get angry  and speak ill of the member.

5. No matter what I do,  no matter what I say, no matter what happens, people will stay.

Yet another myth most pastors  say.  As pastor you should be careful how you speak,  what you do and what you say. Because one word can hurt a member and you might think it's normal.  They are human and people  have feelings and they are emotional.

6. All those who are leaving are the sons of Satan.

7. All those who left are not of us. (1 John 2:19)

Reasons Why People Leave The Church :

1. The personality of the pastor  and the leadership skills.

2. Some pastors care for the rich and wealthy people than those who are poor in the church.

If the person is rich and has money,  they place more importance in him than others which makes others unimportant and leave the church. Church is a family and the moment you place value in others than the rest you are clearly  showing partiality.

3. People are leaving because of selfishness.
There are a lot of people who needs help just to survive,  but through selfishness they are neglected.

4. People want to leave because  they want to leave.  No matter what you will do for them they will leave.
